Annual Putt Around Downtown

Promises Family Fun and Ben Curtis Family Foundation Support

Kent, OH – On Saturday, June 21, downtown Kent will take the shape of a putt putt golf course for the Putt Around Downtown event, sponsored by Portage Community Bank and Brimfield Insurance Group. Main Street Kent is hosting this popular, family-friendly event where businesses create a special putt putt golf hole for participants to play. Ticket holders will check in at Laziza (195 E. Erie St.) between noon and 2pm where they can play games hosted by the Ben Curtis Family Foundation, take photos with pro golfer Ben Curtis from 1-2pm, and get warmed up for their round. Each participant will receive a golf ball, score card/course map, and drink ticket valid at Laziza only during the event. Bring your own putter, or “loaner” putters will be available to use at each hole. The course is situated within the DORA (Kent’s Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area), so adult beverages may be purchased for outdoor consumption. The course will be set up at: Bell Tower Brewing, Daisy Pops, The Berthiaumes – Keller Williams Chervenic, Jasons’ Barber Shop, Laziza, Tiger Rae Boutique, Salon NeXt, Flourish Plant Mkt., Barrio, Game Day Coffee, Scribbles Coffee, Beware of the Leopard, Buffalo Wild Wings, Board and Bevy, Evelyn Dickerson Hair Design, Kent Cycle, Portage Community Bank at Dan Smith Community Park, and the Kent State Hotel & Conference Center.

When finished playing, guests can scan the QR code on their score card to vote online for their favorite putt putt hole. All who vote will be entered in a drawing to win one of ten $25 Kent Cards, and the winning business will receive a free one-year membership as a Friend of Main Street Kent!
