Fifty years ago, the Atlantic & Great Western Rail Depot was in disastrous condition, and razing it could have been easily justified. Over the next couple of years, some dedicated Kent residents formed the Kent Historical Society, and their first effort was to gain ownership of the depot and bring it back to life! Come hear personal stories and experiences from Sandy Halem, Jim Myers, Howard Boyle and John Flynn about how they saved the depot from near demolition.
