Main Street Kent Brings “Sweet” New Event to Kent for the Holidays
Kent, Ohio – On Sunday, Dec. 4, from noon to 5pm, Main Street Kent will host the first ever Cookie Walk in downtown Kent! Only 200 tickets will be available, beginning Nov. 1 at 9am, and a generous portion of proceeds will be shared with Kent Social Services in the spirit of the holiday season. Tickets will be available at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/441153350547.
Presented by Acorn Alley and College Town Kent, this event will send guests on a self-guided tour of downtown Kent where they will collect specially-made holiday cookies at each stop. First, they will pick up a holiday-themed cookie tin and a Cookie Walk map at The Kent Stage during the check-in hours of noon to 2pm. Then, guests will head out to enjoy the day collecting cookies, having lunch, shopping, and perhaps even a DORA beverage if they like (adult beverages available “to go.”) The Davey 5th grade choir will perform in The Kent Stage lobby from 1-2pm, as participants get ready to head out on this fun holiday excursion! Once the Cookie Walk tin is filled with delicious cookies, it can be given as a gift or enjoyed on its own — however guests choose.
Participants include a variety or shops, restaurants and local organizations, all donating specialty cookies in support of Main Street Kent and Kent Social Services: Belleria Pizza & Italian, Bell Tower Brewing, Bent Tree Coffee, College Town Kent, Daisy Pops, Hazelmade, Hall-Green Agency, Hippie Fox Rocks, Kent Cycle, Kent Free Library, McKay Bricker Framing, North Water Brewing Co., Pita Pit, Popped!, Ray’s Place, Red Letter Days, Rotary Club of Kent, Scribbles Coffee, Squirrel City Jewelers, Taproot Catering, Townhall II and Water Street Tavern.
Tickets are $35 each. This is an all-weather event and tickets are non-refundable.
Main Street Kent is a non-profit organization focused on the revitalization of downtown Kent. It is an affiliate of the national Main Street program and the Heritage Ohio program.
